Yeah, my old bosses rego for his work van will be in the vicinity of 12k too. He'd already transferred his other 4 cars into a friends name, and his van will be sold before the rego expires

maybe ur flywheel was fucked. I'm running 3bolt and she is gold, i dont shift below 5500 lol

i threw 9 bottles of nitrous at it, went driftin, miles of street abuse
out of nowhere it jus started stickin then the flywheel came los twice...now its in my mates car
an so far he hasnt had a problem, well not that hes told me about anyway....

Postby YBYAVL » February 3rd, 2009, 8:47 am

so i got stuck into the engine today, started at around lunctime
sonny sed it had done 150,000km so i didnt bother doin the rings/bearings
jus gave it a gasket kit an seals an sum paint....oh, an a turbo :P

Image
this thing had been cooked to within an inch of its life sonny lol,
every water jacket on the pass. side had been corroded over an was blocked
so no water was getin down there...fried half the head gasket on there
Image
Image
got sum new parts, all up was about 300bux for everything
gasket kit, head bolts, F/R main seals, welsh plugs, oil filter, sparkies, leads, cap an button
an $30 in cleaning shit...
Image
Image

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Acetone is wonderful shit

popd out the welsh plugs threw sum rust converter down the block an over the face
of the block
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

so with the engine all cleaned it was time for a lick of paint
Image
Image
Image
started off with the exhaust manifold an exhaust housing of the turbo

Image
Image
Image
Image
everything that was black, went black....everything that was alloy was guna get polished
but im not keen on upkeep, so it with the engine enamel silver

so with that done it was time for assembly
Image
Image
Image
Image
by 10pm i had it prety much 90% complete
Image
jus have to go fit the water pump, alternator an p/s pump today
then i can start strippin the engine bay an hopfuly by the weekend,
ill have fitted upthe engine an most of the cooler piping
