Fighting over which falcon is better is like fighting on the internet.
None of the people at my work who earn decent money drive falcons/FPV's/HSV's etc.
I reckon they are a good sample of the larger community who also don't see a falcon/fpv/hsv as being any good.

hahaha, I am not up with the whole E-Series thing from the start, so I have to have something to be cynical about!
Oh, and on the topic of B vs E, you all suck, get an AU, its the best of both sides!! Cheap to buy and mod, and more comfortable than a B!!

I CBF reading most of this thread. Good for a laugh for a while.
TUFED6 was right, pretty much every BA out cruising looks the same, someone will try something different, go out the week later and there are 10 more with the same look.
LOL @ the person who said they would rather an NA BA over a Turbo E-Series, WTF? Ive lost count of the amount of times Ive dosed a BA XR6 hoping it was turbo, and got a look like "Why didnt I spend more and get the boosted one?" - That look is priceless.
Are we gona have this kinda topic in 10 years time asking if YZ Falcon is better than FG?
My conclusion.. Boost FTW, no matter what Falcon its in

Theres a large portion of the extremist bogan population that <3 them to a degree that scares the living fukk out of me.
I have had an entire toothless family hanging out of an XF station wagon giving me the thumbs up for just cruising along.
Also 2 kunts on western ringroad in a white van who sped and dodged through traffic to catch up to me (I thought 'oh ****, did I cut them off??!'), only to yell out the window "SPOOL IT UP MAN".
That last one was actually kind of cool, the first one was bizarre.

With a few exceptions most of the people I meet who have serious money don't flash it around, they generally drive pretty boring cars.
Spending money on cars is admitting you're a massive bogan at heart. The more you spend the more you are in denial

lol.
All Ill say is that the car does not maketh the man.
You wouldnt believe the amount of bogans that drive patrols which all seem to be worth more than your average E series. Having the cash to buy a more expensive car doesnt make you better.
I dont consider myself to be a bogan (much:P) but I bet every other driver on the road that sees the mav thinks I am.
They can get fucked. If I had a nice looking car I couldn't smash it into trees and rocks as much.
Some E series owners are alright, some give their kids 5 first names.
My GF's bro is a tax lawyer and earns well over $100k a year at 27 years old. He drives the most neglected POS EF I have ever seen. He has had for 4 years and I dont think he is keen to upgrade because he doesnt care what he drives.

They all seem to have boring new cars. The only one at work who is a car guy drives foresters as a daily and has an old standard valiant which he inherited. He wouldnt buy a new holden or a ford, he used to play with kingswoods, 180's etc.
Everyone else has brand new econoboxes made by honda, mitsubishi, hyundai, peugot, saab etc.

LIES!! I happen to know one other person there who has an EL2 XR8, albeit being stock, that's not exactly boring. There was also another guy who used to work there who had an awesome worked Mustang, a BA XR8 when they were new, then a Forester GT that he upgraded with imported STi parts to the tune of 190awkW! So not all of them are stuck up. I wouldn't consider either of them bogan what so ever either.

Nothing compares to the feeling I get when I see the face of another B-Series owner that I have just deafened with gate and smashed by a mile in my largely busted arse looking EA.
Nothing beats that.. it's even more satisfying than beating holden drivers these days.
I do like a shit hot B-series though... like BLKPHN... you can't buy something like that for $15,000 though!

C'mon man, not all of them are that bad. OK, the series one was a bit of a flop, I agree. The later ones are pretty nice looking, especially the Ghia. The Series 2/3 XR can look pretty tough too! I recon the whole stigma about them is actually a good thing, cos they are so cheap for what they are. I was wrapped for how much I picked up my XR8 for, and its not exactly a POS. Yes its an old Wheezer, but its a better incarnation of any E-Series 5L.

lol Im jealous that you have a car loan on a car that doesnt even have a turbo lol..........no.
I think this thread is going to go no where because there are pro's and con's on both sides of the fence. I have driven one BA in my life it was my uncles BA XR8 must admit it was very nice to drive good power nice handling etc. But at the end of the day I look at what I built in the shed and its something im proud of cause I have had my own input into and I have done the hard yards on it and spent contless amounts of money on. I had my EB long before I ever came across the club. Sometimes I wish I never joined it I may have some more money lol.
Nothing against the BÁ owners, I just cant justify spending the money to buy something that out there many many people have done the same stuff too. I like standing out abit. As I have said before when BA's are as old as E-series they are going to have the same wear and tear and EA-EL have now its common knowledge that over time things get old and fail.(eg:heljas+trickXD). On my way to work I will see 10 BA's all dumped and on wheels. I dont want to be one of the majority.
So Sunny I hope our friendship can last forever I hope I have not hurt your feelings nor made you angry? If you wanna catch up tonight ill give ya a hug mate. And ill say sorry....

haha im guessing not many 18 yr old males have commented on this thread, i was looking at getting a ba xt cos they are so damn cheap i could actually afford to buy a 2004 car

(within my group)
But then cos im buying a much newer/better car id have to go comp on insurance and even with a clean record they wanted nearly 3k for a family sedan worth about 10 grand itself. With a much cheaper e-series im happy to go 3rd party and pay around 400 then use the extra savings (approx 10 grand when you include insurance) to mod the car and smoke my mates cars of around the 1999 mark. I also agree with the e-series being more unique than the ba/bf which seems to be every second 22-30 yr old male i see.
thats my 2 cents

PMSL at this thread
Early X series are the shit. I bought my XY in 2004 for 3 grand, drove it for three weeks until the reg ran out and put it in the shed. Advertised it on AFF for 8 grand, had an offer of 8 grand but decided to keep it because its cool and i'd decided to redraw on the house to do it up.
A bloke offered me 10k over the phone today sight unseen from vic. I thought about it for an hour and he called back to me telling him i still didnt want to part. I said thanks for the offer. He said 11k. I caved and sold it. I was all keen to buy a BF F6 with the proceeds following the sale of my Hilux but i'm not so sure now. They depreciate faster than a thread with skids gets locked at AFF, but then again, how the **** else do you get a 12 sec car for 35k thats as well mannered as the pope at bible study.

im 18, but im smart-ish with money. i also have a clean record and insurance only cost me 2.5k and its classified as a "high performance sports car"(i lol'd at that) and thats full comp!
Shuany: im on my P's thefore i did not want to purchase a turbo car because i only have 5 demerit points and its 3 points a pop if i get caught, now you'll come back with somthing like "ddahh umm i had a turbo car when dahh i was on my p's" and my response to that will be BA XR6's and BA XR6Turbo's are exactly they same theres also a massive gap for the cooler to be seen where as turbo E-Series did not come trom factory turbo and would be alot more hidden then driving around in a XRT.
